Highly sophisticated, yet easy to use, the Simtronics DSS-100 is unique among commercial simulators. The flexibility of the system makes it an ideal choice for all levels of training: from entry level or college degree programs all the way up to highly experienced incumbent operators and technicians. The DSS-100 is highly adaptable and can match the capabilities of virtually any level of trainee.
This functionality allows the simulator to be used more broadly (and therefore deliver more value) than other simulators on the market.
The DSS-100 is an interactive, dynamic, real-time process simulator. Easy to use, loaded with continuously upgraded features, and very affordable, the DSS-100 can meet your needs for trainee education and operator training and qualification.
New Version 6.3 Features
Server Based
The Simtronics DSS-100 is now entirely server based. All software, including the Instructor and Operator, are loaded on a server (or any central computer). No more loading the Operator client on every computer that is to be used as a trainee station. All user specific Operator data is stored in the user’s temp directory including Initial Conditions, Eventlog(s), Notes and Trends. The Session Manager will run along with the Windows Service DSS-100 giving access to Classroom Data and Report Generation.Standard Process Model (SPM Series) Upgrades
Upgrades include model modifications, new algorithms, modified graphics and more faults. SPM’s modified include SPM-100, 200, 300, 600, 700, 800, 1000, 1200, 1500, 2400, 2500, 2600, 2700, 2800, 3100, 3200, and 3300.Performance Scoring Utility (PSU-100) Upgrades
The Simtronics PSU-100 has a new scoring algorithm that is a better representation of actual performance. Each of the six (6) areas of scoring (Elapsed Time, Standard Operating Procedure, Safety, Alarms, Deviation from Design and Product Quality) are now equally weighted in the final 0-100% score. There are also subtle changes in the Report View and the Eventlog(s).More Equipment Tutorials
Simtronics now has over seventy (70+) Equipment Tutorials. These are animated equipment and process tutorials that blend knowledge and skill based learning for a total training approach.
The DSS-100 is designed to run on a standalone PC or a network. The simulator's intuitive interface enables 'point and click' access to virtually every feature in the simulator. And group instrumentation faceplates have 'click and drag' setpoints and outputs.
Implementing the DSS-100 is easy. Simtronics provides numerous faults that can be used instantaneously or on a timed basis. Simtronics also provides numerous initial conditions (training exercises) implementing these faults on a timed basis.

Initial Conditions
Instructors can assign trainees Simtronics-supplied exercises, including start-up and shutdown. They can also create their own custom exercises where an initial condition or encountered fault is configured. Faults can easily be created and visualized using the Fault Detail Display which graphs the fault's profile - including one of eight fault function generators, initial time, and length of time the fault occurs - with the following features:

Create and store exercises, and assign them to any trainee on the network. Measure any trainee's performance on a 0% to 100% scale in six categories:
